Morrison’s Academy Pupils YPI Scotland Success

Morrison’s Academy has been running the Youth and Philanthropy Initiative Scotland scheme (YPI) to teach about the support charities offer in their local area. The scheme offers the chance for charities to win a £3000 donation as a result of the pupils hard work, cumulating in a presentation to a judging panel.

Teams of pupils backed six charities in the final with TCCL being one of them. We are delighted to say that the team of Alesha, Euan, Harry and Tavish won the event with an engaging and interactive presentation. Over the previous months the team also ran additional fundraising events for TCCL.

Their investigations into the charities’ purpose were deep, detailed and showed a real understanding of just why TCCL do what we do. Our lodge manager ‘Biz’ who explained our activities to the team said the pupils ‘just got it’. Our TCCL Lodge chairman Craig attended on the night of the final to offer further support and engagement.
